Description

This metal photo print is a detail of Seal Moon Rising, the large engraved steel commission I made in 2019 for the Yukon Kuskokwim Health Center in Bethel, Alaska. The original is in the primary care waiting area of the Paul John Calricaraq Clinic and Hospital. The piece of metal wall art aspires to convey the age-old patience of the hunter and the elusiveness of the seal. This image is one of the spirit seals beneath the sea ice in the engraving.
