The Three Graces enjoy a visit to the seaside in this black cherry and burly birch wood sculpture.
I began this carving thinking it was to be an inkle loom for weaving belts and straps. The holes were drilled to hold dowels to wrap the warp around. In the end, the three lobes of the forked cherry board looked like abstract, chatting weavers. When I decided not to make the loom, they became the Three Graces.
