These small sculptures are modeled around 3″ high. They are made by “randomly” squeezing a form out of soft wax, getting a sense of the gesture and subject matter suggested and then working to bring out the form and character. Each is made as a maquette for possible future work and as a finished miniature sculpture.
By making these small models, I come upon subjects for sculptures I may not have thought of otherwise and keep a fresh supply of ideas for larger sculptures in the works. These bronze miniature sculptures can be displayed alone or grouped together for your own desktop, coffee table or bookshelf sculpture gallery.
